Such a lady but I’m dancin’ like a ho
Classes started at Scott yesterday. I am supposed to be in Chicago today for my orientation. Bummer.
(Hey, just let me be upset about this. I know I’m probably being dramatic, but you have to understand how excited I was about this. Just let me be upset)
Anyway, yesterday:
Cultural Anthropology: Should be alright. I am one of like..9 students. Most of them don’t speak, but I’m hoping that it was just because it was the first day.
Philosophy: Cancelled until Wednesday. But I did learn from some girl that if you are a doctor, you get to be 20 minutes late to class.
Government: Uhhhhh. Stupid. I actually dropped it because those kids are morons. I’m a bad person for saying that. But really. They are. When asked what the biggest political issue in America is, one guy said “Uh, the war is pretty big right now…right?” Don’t worry thought. I talked to Eric Carr, and got into his (completely full) World Issues class. Should be good. I hear there’s a kid named McLovin’.
Today:
Into to Lit: Despite the fact that I have already read most of the books/plays/short stories, it should be okay. Ann Grey seems pretty cool..like she has a brain, and (gasp!) she uses it! But really..we’re reading the Five People You Meet In Heaven. and Roses for Emily. and The Lottery…Which..don’t get me wrong, excluding the Mitch Albom weird faux-self-help book, they’re pretty good. It’s just, I wanted to take this class so I could read something I would’t normally read..expand my horizons, ya know? Ah well. You can’t go wrong with Edgar Allen Poe, anyway.
Adolscent Psych: Not there yet, but I have it with Allison, which should be pretty rad. I hear the prof is cool, and I’ve always enjoyed psych, so..I should do okay.
But alas, I’m still living at home. Love the free the food. Love the cable. Love the internet.. But, it’s not where I planned on being.
Ah, well. You do what you can with what ya got.
Excuse me while I try to do some homework for the next two hours… I’m tellin ya.. Two hours between classes. This is going to suck.
