YOU WANT BEVERLY HEIGHTS, BRIGHT LIGHTS, LATE NIGHTS

Everything has set in, and I’m ready to talk.

Friday night, I had a delightful evening with Tk and Ashley, chillin with a weird guy who thought we were ‘all three the most beautiful girl in the room’. I sent some ill-advised text messages and fell asleep on my face. Friday night was a really good night. But NOTHING compared to Saturday.

Tk and I got up at 7am and were ready to rock n’ roll an hour later. The drive to Madison was really easy, and actually pretty nice. Winding roads and really beautiful scenery the further north we went. We pulled in to The Barrymore around 11:00 am. It was fucking FREEZING all day. We’re talking snow, rain and sleet. Gross. Luckily though, we were sitting underneath an over-hang in front of a chocolate shop. We met some cool people and had some good conversation. However, it was cold as balls all day.

At 3:30 we took The Walk. For those of you who don’t know, The Walk is an awareness walk about the AIDS and poverty epidemic in Africa. Many kids don’t even have shoes, so they usually do it barefoot. However, due to the weather (and the fact that Taylor was getting sick) they decided to keep the shoes on. I walked next to Isaac for a few minutes and a had a short conversation with him. I asked him how his surgery in November went and we discussed the fact that he was missing a rib, but who really needs that many anyway? He told me it was ‘really sweet’ of me to ask. Which, let’s face it, it was! :]
I walked with Zach for awhile, too. When I asked him to take a picture with me, he told me that would make him a failure at life. BUUUT, he asked what I was doing the following day and said “lets hang out before you leave!”. Then he said something about Shaboigin being a sexual innuendo and me basically sucking because I’m from Davenport. I scolded him for cutting in line for the slide and told him he had bad playground etiquette. He told me at one point to stop acting like a retard. I have never been more delighted to be called a retard.

The opening act was really good. Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers. On the album, they sounded kind of lame, but it was a REALLY good show. I’m going to attribute the album to being a not-so-great fluke, because it was seriously a phenomenal show.

Hanson played Crazy Beautiful and Something Going ‘Round among other things and I thought I was going to explode, I was so happy. I did get hipchecked by some fucker who scolded me for dancing. He was a scary 35 year old man who started yelling at me. All the girls around me were furious though and freaked out on him. It was pretty spectacular.

After the show, I stopped to talk to Stephen Kellogg and the rest of The Sixers. I told Stephen how spectacular I thought ht was and he hugged me. It was pretty amazing. The rest of the Sixers were really awesome too.

It was the best show I’ve ever been to. Truly amazing.

Sunday Tk and I stopped at House On The Rock and had our minds blown. But that really didn’t compare to Saturday. Hopefully a bunch of really cool girls will be sending me there pictures and videos. I gave my email to a LOT of people.
